Obituary of Louis E. Kuchler

Louis E. Kuchler, 70, of Sea Isle City, NJ passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Louis and Marie (nee Martin) Kuchler. He was a graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School class of 1968 and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from St. Joseph’s University class of 1972. Lou was a veteran of the United States Army. In his youth he was a longtime caddie at Melrose Country Club where he earned the J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship. He was a member of the V. F. W. Post 1963 in Sea Isle City, NJ. He was the Vice President of Purchasing for Westinghouse Lighting for many years before his retirement. After retirement he worked as the Manager of Gleeson’s Liquors in Ocean View for many years. Lou will forever be missed by his family and friends. He was a dedicated family man that always energized the room with his witty humor and great personality. Surviving are his wife: Joanne (nee Bennett) Kuchler, children: Louis M. (Amanda) Kuchler, Kim (Troy) Hassis and Tina (Greg) Pozesky. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Ashley, Sean, Natalie, Katie, Madison, brothers and sisters: Al (Patti), Gerri (Jay), Debbie (Greg), Tom (Kathy), Rose (Dennis), Frank (Anthea), Fran. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 11:30am from St. Joseph’s R. C. Church, 43rd and Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City, NJ where friends may call from 10:30 until time of Mass. Burial will follow with Military Honors in the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ.
