
Obituary of Thomas R. Shiffler, Sr.
Thomas R. Shiffler, Sr., 61, of Corbin City, NJ passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa to the late Edward F. and Patricia (nee Green) Shiffler. He attended George Washington High School in Philadelphia, Pa where he played Varsity Soccer.
Tom played Soccer for Michael’s Soccer in Vineland and played in the band D’suspended with his brothers, nephews and son John.
He had worked as an Electrician for the City of Ocean City, NJ for many years before his retirement. In addition to his parent’s he was predeceased by his son John in 2019.
Surviving are his wife: Susan (nee Blong) Shiffler, children: Meghan (Jeffrey) Dilks, Jacqueline (Nicholas) Dutton, Heather Shiffler, Thomas Shiffler, Danielle (Kevin Mayer) Shiffler, five grandchildren: Gabriel, Brynley, Reilly, Bayley, Georgie, siblings: Edward (Margaret) Shiffler, Dennis (Jennifer) Shiffler, Colleen (Joe) Toolen, Susan (Mack) Inacio, John Shiffler, Patricia Inacio ,many nieces and nephews and Courtney Collins (companion of John Shiffler).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 11 o’clock from Church of the Resurrection of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 200 West Tuckahoe Road, Marmora, NJ where friends may visit with the family from 10 o’clock until time of Mass.
Burial will be private.
